Students at the Green Vale School in Old Brookville on Long Island have decided to give back to others by working to 3D print prosthetic hands. Under the guidance of their teacher, Lorraine Campbell, students have sent these hands around the world to kids in need. The first hand the group sent out went to India, where it’s currently in use by a child without fingers.
To help them in the process, they are using an online tutorial created by volunteers as a plan. Before sending out their handiwork, the kids check to make sure each hands function exactly right.
